So when his family moves from their seaside town to the town of Yawnee (about as exciting as it sounds), Miles knows he's going to have to pull some awesome pranks so that the kids at this new school know exactly who they're dealing with.
I really liked this book it was a great story. I was compelled to stay up late so I could find out how the ultimate April Fool's Day prank was going to unfold. This is definitely one of those kids versus adults sort of books, which child readers will love and will lead adult readers to roll their eyes at the absurdity of it all (and maybe chuckle a little off to the side). That prankster has put the principal’s car at the top of the stairs to the entrance to the school, blocking it so that no one can enter. But when Miles gets to school on the first day and sees that someone has parked the principal's car on top of the steps, rigThis book was seriously funny and I highly recommend the audiobook. Light-hearted but with sweet touches about friends and how two often do a better job than one.
The Terrible Two's Last Laugh If Miles is going to take the title from this mystery kid, he is going to have to raise his gaMiles Murphy is not happy to be moving to Yawnee Valley, a sleepy town that’s famous for one thing and one thing only: cows.
There's a lot of craftsmanship here, but it doesn't show - this reads very light, funny of course, but not overly silly or crazy. The magnitude and quality of the pranks that Miles and his opponent conjure up are quite impressive. Just a moment while we sign you in to your Goodreads account. Alex thought it was good too. This story takes place in Yawnee Valley. Fans of Big Nate and Diary of a Wimpy Kid series would find much to enjoy in this book.
Latest Book in the Series. This book reads like one of these stories in a totally middle-grade appropriate way. I'm a big fan of movies that feature big swindles - The Sting, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Now You See Me, etc.
This was a quick and entertaining read about two boys who want to be their school's biggest pranksters.
And I'm not just saying that because I am a huge fan of Mac Barnett and Kevin Cornell.I'm not sure why this book doesn't have a solid 5.0 rating. But if you're not those thinThis was an overall good book.I have a few connections with their struggles(Such as being blamed and framed for something I didn't do)only 'cause I pull pranks myself. This was also well thought out in the way it all played together.Only thing i'd alter is them becoming a team sooner. But hey, that's what series are for so I guess that's not a problem.I'd tell others to read this if there good with being "bad" or if they like to have a strategy for most things(also me). It was wildly creative and the humor was really born out of well built characters. Want to encourage young readers to keep up their reading habits?
Their pranking was inventive and fun! It was also fun to read aloud with all the fun dialog. I think one of my favorite parts of this book was how the illustrations caught the mood of each moment. His picture books include two Caldecott-Honor-winning collaborations with Jon Klassen: Sam & Dave Dig a Hole, which also won the E.B White Read-Aloud Award, and Extra Yarn, which won both the Boston Globe-Horn Book Award and the E.B.
A school story, a story about a bully who gets what he deserves (though his dad may shape up a bit sooner than seems real), a story about unlikely friends and about pranks..and oh what pranks they are This book should almost come with a cautionary statement, don't try these in your school. I really like Barnett's other books so I switched over to reading it myself. Danger. But when Miles gets to school on the first day and sees that someone has parked the principal's car on top of the steps, right in front of the school doors, he knows that there's already a prankster at this school. Wasn't happy with the two flat-out lying and setting up someone else in the end. This book is about two boys met each other and being a buddy.

by Kevin Cornell. Miles is the best prankster at his school. ***Spoiler Alert*** This book is called The Terrible Two. Or at least a 4.99. He's on the board of directors of 826LA, a nonprofit writing center for students in Los Angeles, and he founded the Echo Park Time Travel Mart, a convenience store for time travelers. Light-hearted bA book for all readers, particularly "particular ones" as Jon Scieska would call them.
