Does it have any oil leaks around the cylinder barrel top or bottom.3.

It died after doing 160km instead of the standard 220km and I had no idea why, but out of a guess I rolled it to the nearest service station and filled it up and on I went to the nearest mechanic to get the carb cleaned. Tried everything from a 250cc scooter to 250cc sportsbike before deciding a cruiser style was the bike for me. Shame about Sydney traffic, Had to buy a helmet cam though to improve my safety.Great commuter. Simple to work on and it really never needs much attention to keep it running. Cant beat it. Been of small stature for a man this bike was perfect to learn on. The Yamaha XV250S Virago is a trusty, reliable and easy to ride option on I feel it has good power and accelerates faster than most sedan cars on the road. Brakes are good and the ride is smooth.The surprisingly torquey engine has been running these little Yamaha XV250S Once your in fifth as long as you don't have to stop or drop below fifty kph, it pulls comfortably from 60kph so it is like riding an automatic above that speed.
It can also accelerate quite well for a small thing. Is the lack of a fuel guage a problem, as the virago is high on my list - its competing with a ninja 250Can't compare it to the Ninja as I've never ridden one myself. Me personally i feel it does not need a 6th gear. weight makes for easy steering but get carried away and the pegs touch down It looks identical to the black one top of the page.
